Felt

I’ve always tried to exploit what media can do throughout the various stages of its manipulation. I enjoy surprises and the forced understanding that failures require. Recently, I discovered wool as a media. I’ve taken several classes per how wool can be processed, but now I’m pursuing wool’s why and what as a creative material. I’m fascinated by how wool is both soft and strong and how its industrial applications might lead to even more large sculptures for indoor and outdoor installation. Since we have a large graphic design program at my university, I am in the process of also creating time-lapse short films using felt as media in collaboration with students.
